Samira Ahmed is a presenter and correspondent for Channel 4 News. She was previously a news correspondent and presenter for BBC News, BBC World,Newsnightand Radio 4's "Today" programme , and a presenter at Deutsche Welle TV, in Berlin.
Samira has reported extensively on crime, terrorism and the arts and was BBC Los Angeles correspondent, where she covered the case of OJ Simpson.
For her Channel 4 documentary series, "Islam Unveiled" she travelled across the world to explore the status of Muslim women.
She has lectured on terrorism, Islamic radicalism and feminism at the London School of Economics, Sheffield Hallam University, the Berlin Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanitiesand the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies.
